Writing was something I found myself returning to often, whether it was through anime fan-fiction written in composition notebooks or half-finished notes on my phone.

When I decided to incorporate more poetry into a submission, I assumed it would be a one-time thing. But here I am now, mainly writing poetry. Six-year-old me who wrote “Hello moon, hello stars” and other obligatory poems for writing practice would have never expected this!

My writing explores the layers beneath the seemingly simple and the monotonously mundane that exist on the edge of our collective awareness. Please take some time to peruse my portfolio and newsletter.

When I’m not hanging out with my equally nerdy husband here in Tokyo, I enjoy watching the drama of dishes coming together on cooking shows, healing walks around green spaces, and gazing at the various teas steeping in my glass teapot.
